Okera Banks is a designer, style expert, podcast host, and celebrity stylist based in Los Angeles. She owns the Okera Banks Collection and the brand On-The-Go Essentials, which cater to fashion-conscious entrepreneurs, trendsetters, and travelers who value comfort, ease, and impeccable style.
Banks earned dual degrees in Fashion Design Merchandising and Marketing from Clark Atlanta University and interned at Mirabella Magazine in New York as an assistant fashion editor. She has worked as a fashion stylist and Motion Picture costume designer, becoming one of Cosmopolitan Magazine’s recommended stylists of Los Angeles. Banks has worked with celebrity entertainers such as Tiffany Haddish, Anthony Anderson, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Ferguson, and Wanda Sykes.
The Okera Banks On-The-Go Essentials brand contains convertible, transitional must-have pieces for people on the go who turn heads and are noticed for their fashion savvy.
Banks has a passion for mentorship and currently serves as a mentor for Urban Pose and Black Girls Film Camp. Her style is all about what makes one feel comfortable, confident, and sexy; whether on a movie or production set, walking the red carpet, or simply on the go. Banks also hosts a podcast, “Style Lounge with Okera Banks,” where she shares knowledge on style, fashion, business, culture, and lifestyle tips.
