OCEAN DRIVE MAGAZINE CELEBRATES SWIM ISSUE WITH HEIDI KLUM AND HEIDI KLUM SWIM AT KIMPTON SURFCOMBER HOTEL, SOUTH BEACH
Ocean Drive magazine, the Miami glossy, recognized for its oversized format featuring covers of the world’s most sought-after supermodels and celebrities kicked off its 25th anniversary Swimsuit double-issue with supermodel, TV producer, host, creative director, and entrepreneur,Heidi Klum. Joining editor-in-chief, Patricia Tortolani and publisher, Courtland Lantaff, the legendary swimsuit model returns to Miami – her first stop when arriving to the U.S. at the beginning of her career, to celebrate her Ocean Drive “Swimsuit Issue” cover and to showcase Heidi Klum Swim’s latest collection during Swim Week 2018. The event took place on Thursday, July 12th at the Kimpton, Surfcomber Hotel South Beach. Inside the issue, the international superstar opens-up about her awe-inspiring and exhausting attention to detail overseeing her many million-dollar businesses saying, “There are people who wait for the phone to ring, wait for things to happen: and then there are people who are dreamers and planners. That’s how I roll.” On her body confidence and choosing her favorite style from her eponymous swimwear collection she says, “I grew up being very comfortable with my body and very free, and I tend to not wear a whole lot of swimsuit when I am sunbathing. So I usually go for a tie-string bikini, something that has less coverage, and if no one is around, I’ll wear only the bottom.” Klum also reveals what she loves about Miami, “People are not as shy with their bodies in Miami…everyone is enjoying life and dancing.”
At the event, Heidi Klum Swim dips its toes in the sand to feature a preview of the collection. Under the stars, oceanfront at the Kimpton Surfcomber South Beach, models, tastemakers, influencers and VIPs toasted to Ocean Drive and the kickoff to Swim Week with cocktails by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Whispering Angel rose, and beer by Biscayne Bay Brewing.
