Following her monstrous single “WAR” featuring rapper Rico Nasty – boundary-pushing producer, writer and rapper Nostalgix reveals plans for her highly anticipated Monster cat debut EP, Star City. Nostalgix is also set to conquer new territory with a massive headline 19+ stop tour bearing the same stellar name.
Offering an enticing taste into the world of Star City is “Lockdown” a collaboration with UK MC Scrufizzer – available November 17 on Monstercat. “Lockdown” sees Nostalgix’s booming bass lines fuse perfectly with Scrufizzer’s unmissable grime flow. Reflecting on the new single, Nostalgix adds; “I was stoked to work with UK based rapper Scruffizer on the vocals for the record. He has such a fun and carefree spirit to him that I’m drawn to. I absolutely loved working with him to bring ‘Lockdown’ to life, it was one of those songs that just felt so right and came together very naturally. We both love the record and can’t for you to hear it.”
“Lockdown” is a further demonstration of Nostalgix’s domination in the bass house space, extending her list of epic collaborations to welcome Scrufizzer. The final offering from the EP ahead of its release, “Lockdown” sets the tone for the auditory wonders awaiting in Star City.
