Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2017

Over 3.5 million spectators lined the streets for the world’s largest parade with the best balloons you will ever see including featured concerts and entertainment from around the world.

New balloons this year include Olaf from Frozen, Chase from Paw Patrol, Jett from Super Wings and The Grinch. Returning favorites included: Hello Kitty, Ronald McDonald, SpongeBob, Pikachu, Pillsbury Doughboy, Angry Birds Red, Scrat from Ice Age, Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, Trolls, Greg Heffley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the Elf on the Shelf. Macy’s novelty balloons for the year included Harold the Policeman, Harold the Fireman, Harold the Baseball Player, Rex the Happy Dragon, Candy Cane (which popped), Red & Gold Macy’s Stars, and the Blue Ornament.

On a cold morning in Manhattan the American extravaganza made its way down two and a half miles through the heart of New York City with stars including: Gwen Stefani, 98 Degrees, Patti LaBelle, Flo Rida, Nicky Jam, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots, Andra Day and Common, Sara Evans, Lauren Alaina, Cam, Goo Goo Dolls, Andy Grammer, Dustin Lynch, Wyclef Jean, Smokey Robinson, along with performances from the casts of Broadway’s “Anastasia,” ”Dear Evan Hansen” and “SpongeBob SquarePants.”

The lineup included a dozen marching bands, as well as the high-kicking Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, and, of course the official start of the holiday season with an appearance by Santa Claus.
