Luisa Spagnoli Spring Summer 2022 Fashion Show
For the Spring / Summer 2022 season, Luisa Spagnoli invites her community of feminine, enterprising and independent women to embark on a dreamy journey in fascinating, warm, and vibrant lands infused with an adventurous spirit.
For her first show in the Milan Fashion Week’s official calendar, the Italian designer and entrepreneur recreate a charming New Mexico-style courtyard inside the historic Palazzo Isimbardi. Mediterranean suggestions blend with desert elements in a celebration of the Italian heritage opening up to international inspirations and atmospheres.
The collection is designed to seduce on the catwalk, but also in the daily life of real women with different needs.
Upscale fabrics, many of them certified sustainable, are treated with special techniques to obtain precious effects. Prints, embroideries, and jacquard motifs alternate in a carousel of refined and feminine elegance, which reveals the most authentic spirit of the Made in Italy fashion.
The volumes are airy and relaxed, interpreting women’s desire to escape from any constraints.
Silk maxi dresses with deep slits, or crafted from Vicky print cotton, are cinched at the waist with leather belts showing eye-catching turquoise buckles. Worn off-the-shoulder and left unbuttoned, they reveal seductive corsets, whose precious lingerie-inspired details are also inlaid in the construction of sinuous or-ganza dresses, enriched by flounces and rendered in a vibrant color palette, ranging from marigold yellow to strawberry pink, as well as in a shantung dress in a brilliant turquoise hue.
Corsets with lace trim also peep out from mannish shirts worn with indigo-hued denim sets that look faded from the sun and knitwear, unmissable protagonists of the Luisa Spagnoli wardrobe. Featuring mesh effects, fringes and jacquard motifs, the knitted pieces have deep necklines or become mini dresses decorated with graphic patterns or soft tube dresses with tactile textures.
Denim adds an urban and contemporary touch. The five pockets are cut in flared shapes elongating the silhouette, shorts look hyper-feminine and pencil silks reveal sensual front slits.
Sartorial blazers in black, turquoise and sand linen, soft blouses in impalpable linen gauze, jackets with fringes, and suede, printed baggy jumpsuits, but also embroidered chiffon blouses and romantic dresses with lace details, are the staples of a versatile wardrobe made of iconic pieces to mix and match with freedom.
The accessories, exuding a timeless and sophisticated vibe, enhance the personality of each look. Flat sandals, as well as maxi hobo bags and fringed mobile phone cases, are designed for daytime outfits. Towering heeled sandals with minimal lines and mini shoulder bags, always enriched with fringes, steal the scene after sunset. Gold and turquoise jewels are omnipresent… travel memories and lucky charms.
