This Spring Summer 2016 it’s time to steal the limelight, as L’Agent by Agent Provocateur looks to the stage for a collection that’s guaranteed to razzle dazzle ‘em. Theatricality and the showgirls of the past inspire lingerie that scintillates throughout the eras and for any occasion – from your daily dose of wear-anywhere sauce through to the most decadent occasion wear for your most dazzling performance yet.

Bold colour is a cornerstone of the L’Agent collections, and this season’s palette is designed for showing off. High drama, precious colours such as amethyst, ruby red, cobalt and lapis lazuli light up the collection. The popular ‘Odessa’ style with its matte cirée leopard-print embroidery is re-imagined in wild ruby red or electric cobalt for true starlet appeal, whilst the ‘Mariona’ returns enriched with a pop of cherry red via the bows and trimmings. The ‘Adriana’ is a fantasy of barely-there tulle that pops with splashy neon floral embroidery to ensure all eyes on the right places, and the ‘Idalia’ is a breath of fresh air with its unique mint colour that promises to invigorate any audience.

The darker side of the show inspired the season’s most intently seductive looks. The design team looked to the glamorous denizens of the Belle Epoque demimonde for show-stopping pieces such as the ‘Sylvana’, a fantasia in black and cobalt blue, which uses a new technique overlaying cut-out lace with fishnet and power mesh for ultimate shape and drama. The ‘Gia’ is another piece of black magic, employing fishnet lace to riveting effect in its sharp contouring slip and high apex bra. The ‘Rosella’ is made for night-time titillation thanks to its uplifting bandeau-effect bra and deep suspenders, whilst those who favour a more romantic nocturnal tryst will be enchanted by ‘Kaity’, a hyper-feminine set in black tulle with superposées 3D flowers in palest blush embroidery which captivate and enthral, making for an unforgettable performance.

The bodysuit is a trademark L’Agent piece and can work a room all on its own. This season the ‘Layla’ joins the chorus line; a rich and intricate body of moulded lace, its seams create an elaborate boned effect, which coupled with the waist cincher and cut out back creates a jaw-dropping silhouette. The luxurious angel-pink ‘Grace’, made of finest eyelash lace, glistens with rose gold sparkle for a scintillating show, whilst the popular ‘Brigit’ range is back for an encore, this time heated up with a neon melon underlay on the bra and briefs to offset the dramatic black Spanish lace. A new focus on night wear this season brings with it the playful ‘Jada’ teddy suit, cut from sumptuous stretch chiffon in classic black or burning amethyst, for all the drama of the bodysuit, with the comfort of your favourite bedtime story.

A special focus has been lent this season to the derrière, with fine detailing on knickers to highlight and flatter your curves. Delicate ruching can be found in the tulle of the knickers on ultra-feminine styles such as ‘Kaity’, ‘Dani’ or ‘Layla’, whilst even the smallest Trixie knickers in ranges such as ‘Estella’ and ‘Casie’ feature cheeky cut-outs and double strapping to draw attention. Certain styles – such as the lace mini brief in the sexy ‘Adlina’ range – make dressing the derrière an art form, ensuring that your turn in the limelight is all about that bass.
