Designer Hui Zhou Zhao to support Milan during Covid19
New York Style Guide has already spoken about Hui’s special relationship with Milan, if you have missed the article, you can find it here.
And now Hui contributed to the city in Lombardy, donating 10,000 masks and 200 safety goggles/face shields to the civil protection department of the municipality of Milan. What in Lombardy is called “the army” for the conspicuous numbers of members relentlessly working for the safety of the citizens.
A very generous way to support doctors, nurses, researchers and volunteers who, for weeks, have been working tirelessly to fight Covid19.
“In the difficult battle against Coronavirus contagion, each contribution has an enormous and precious value from a human point of view: ours was a natural gesture towards a country, Italy and in particular the city of Milan, to which we are linked since our origin ”commented Hui Zhou Zhao, the maison designer.
Milan hosted the HUI brand fashion shows for several seasons, and this way the Chinese designer shows a touching gratitude and her hopes to return soon.
The HUI Foundation that we also mentioned in our former article, combines the attention to beauty to the care of tradition, and it does not disregard the human capital summarized in the activity of the HUI Foundation whose aim is the well-being of people by promoting supportive and beneficial projects aimed at improving life.
And it is precisely with this in mind that HUI has promoted the donation of individual protective devices – certified and equipped with the necessary technical compliances, also taking advantage of its global supply chain to facilitate delivery in a moment in which these are primary goods more necessary than ever.
An emergency that the fashion house knows very well since it was among the first to not underestimate the extent of the epidemic, renouncing, in February, to hold the fashion event expected during Milano Fashion Week to protect the health and well-being of the people involved.
Hui is a living example of the motto “united we are better” and if we want to win this challenging period against sars-cov2, we have to be both generous and brave, give and connect wherever we can soften the burden for others.
Hui Zhou Zhao has shown once more to be not just a person with a sensitive and responsible approach to business in a wider sense, but to be a beloved pride for both China and Milan.
