Celebrating Unity in Colors A Recap of The Desai Foundation's Holi Night of Impact

Miami transformed into a vibrant tapestry of colors and cultures as The Desai Foundation introduced its renowned Holi Celebration to the city for the inaugural time. The Sagamore Hotel, on the evening of Friday, March 1, played host to a distinctive amalgamation of festivities, uniting individuals with shared values who came together to champion a meaningful cause.

Embracing Holi: A Festival of Colors, Love, and Spring

The event transcended borders as the South Asian community in Miami united to celebrate Holi, a cherished Hindu festival known as the Festival of Colors, Love, and Spring. Attendees reveled in the joy of the occasion, showcasing their Desi best without worrying about colorful stains, thanks to a specially designed installation from Kulture Khazana.

Hosted by the dynamic President of the Desai Foundation, Megha Desai, the night was not just about festivities; it was an opportunity to make a difference. Megha Desai delivered a powerful speech, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to empowering women and children in rural India.

The celebration offered more than just vibrant hues. An open bar, featuring exquisite selections from Naidu Wines, and a delectable dinner by Moksha Indian Brasserie added a culinary flair to the evening. DJ O Fresh, the electrifying artist from New York City, provided the musical backdrop with innovative fusion mashups that kept the energy soaring.

Capturing Moments of Unity

Guests, including notable personalities like Family Karma’s Kalpna Patel, Richa Sadana, and Indian Matchmaking’s Arti Lalwani, reveled in the dynamic colors, energetic dances, and the strong sense of community that defined the night. The event brought together influencers and leaders like Scott Clary, CEO of The Social Club, Sindhya Valloppillil, CEO of Skin Dossier, Karam Hinduja, CEO of Hinduja Bank, and Reza Zanjani, Co-Founder, President, and CEO of Mixfit Inc.
