Deconstructed By Kiki Launches Denim 2.0
Above all others, what material has stood the test of time? I’ll give you a clue. Denim, of course! This warp-faced textile turned time-honored fabric seems to have a place in every fashion season. Living in a major city like Miami, FL, cocktail attire even includes blue jeans. But not just any denim will suffice.
Last week, February 27, 2020, marked the U.S. debut of Deconstructed by Kiki, a re-imagined denim line and apparel brand, by emerging fashion designer, Kiki Lesperance. This denim 2.0 is deconstructed and reconstructed into a more sophisticated, tailored and contemporary look, demonstrating the diversity of denim when it’s all zhuzhed up.
The launch was set as a cocktail reception and fashion show at Briza On The Bay, a waterfront venue in Miami, FL. VIP attendees included fashion influencers, as well as members of the industry and media, who were greeted with panache by trays of wine and bubbles. As the evening ensued, attendees mingled with Kiki while enjoying beats by DJ Ella Romand and passed canapes. The evening closed with a Spring/Summer 2020 Collection reveal during a live runway show.
The e-commerce site goes live on March 20, so fashionistas can shop Deconstructed online at DeconstructedbyKiki.com. In the coming months, the collection will be available at boutiques throughout South Florida. To reinforce the longstanding goodbye to “mom jeans,” the average price of a piece is around $220USD with sizes ranging from 2 to 16. It’s high quality denim with an eye on haute couture status.
