Baptist Health South Florida is gearing up for what promises to be the most celebratory event of 2019: The Grand Gala, slated for March 16 at the newly renovated, iconic Miami Beach Convention Center. The Gala will be the organization’s largest social and fundraising event in its history, attracting more than 1,000 attendees and donors across South Florida. It also is the organization’s first event through which proceeds will uniquely benefit the Baptist Health charity of each gala-goer’s choice – including Miami Cancer Institute, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute, or any of the healthcare organization’s 10 hospitals and clinical, community or educational programs from the Florida Keys to Palm Beach.
Grand Gala co-chairs include Baptist Health President & CEO Brian E. Keeley and Suzanne Keeley, Ph.D., with MEDNAX Health Solutions serving as the Gala’s title sponsor. “This highly successful organization is no stranger to Baptist Health,” said Keeley. “MEDNAX has invested in our mission for many years, and its generous support of The Grand Gala illustrates its belief in the importance of philanthropy to our organization.”
Michael Feinstein, the multi-platinum-selling, five-time Grammy-nominated singer and pianist dubbed “The Ambassador of the Great American Songbook,” will proudly be headline entertainer for The Grand Gala. “If you’ve seen him perform, you know how incredible he is,” said Lani Kahn Drody, Host Committee Chair of The Grand Gala. “And if you haven’t, you’ll never forget him after seeing him perform at The Grand Gala. He’s sure to have all our guests on their feet.”
Among the attributes of The Grand Gala benefiting Baptist Health South Florida:
· Guests will have the unique opportunity to direct their funds to the Baptist Health charity of their choice.
· They’ll dance the night away in the newly renovated Miami Beach Convention Center’s largest ballroom, with a dedicated entrance and concierge services.
· Helicopter services have been arranged for gala guests from Palm Beach or the Florida Keys who wish to arrive hassle-free and in style.
· A live and silent auction will feature rare experiences and professionally curated items.
Generous sponsors of The Grand Gala include Title Sponsor MEDNAX Health Solutions Partner; Diamond Sponsors Envision Physician Services, FPL and KIDZ Medical Services; Gold Sponsors Humana and Navigant; Honorary Chairs Susan Kahn, Michele and Howard Kessler, and The John and Margaret A. Krupa Foundation; Bronze Sponsors Cerner, Conviva Care Solutions and Emergent Physicians of South Florida; and the Official Sports Team Partner, The Miami HEAT.
